[Hiring] Sales Engineer @Trellix

Role Description

Trellix is hiring a Security Pre-Sales Engineer (SE) in the Houston area. This is a remote role. In this role, you will partner with your sales account manager(s) to create a solution architecture and proposals that meets the customer's requirements.

• Oversee the solution sales activities within the sales process to gain the technical win and the customers' trust.
• Participate in solution led sales calls and prospect visits, qualifying the customer's requirements.
• Gather requirements, develop use cases, and fully understand our customer's needs and constraints.
• Present the Trellix Strategy and how this solves the customers' need and outcomes.
• Provide technical expertise on customer product and solution demonstrations.
• Manage the technical or solution response to RFIs/RFPs and orchestration of the virtual teams to help provide a comprehensive consultative response.
• Present a solution proposal to the customer, demonstrating how we solve the customer's requirements and how this aligns with the customers' outcomes and differentiates from the competition.
• Remain current on security trends and industry analysts reports and use this knowledge to guide technical sales wins.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Presales or System Engineering role.
• Experience within Cloud and Virtualization technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and VMWare.
• Presentation experience at the C-Level.
• Experience in Security Operations Center.
• Network administration & management experience.
• Network performance monitoring & analysis experience.
• Experience with Enterprise Anti-Virus solutions or Network Security & Encryption solutions.

Requirements

• This position is paid (in part) on a commission basis.
• The Base Pay Range is $130,000 - $170,000.
• The On Target Earnings (OTE) Range (base pay plus on target commission) is $200,000 – $240,000.
• Actual base pay within the Base Pay Range and actual OTE within the OTE Range will depend on varying circumstances, including the work location, individual qualifications, company budget, and other operational business needs.
• Compensation may also include long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
