[Hiring] Sales Director DACH @Akur8

Role Description

Akur8 is a fast-growing InsurTech scale-up on a mission to modernize how insurers assess, price, and manage risk. As part of our growing international sales team, you will be focusing primarily on developing and scaling our business in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Your key objective will be to identify potential customers and lead the sales process in order to build a network of leads and sign contracts in your territory.

Both independently and with the aid of local sales partners, the Sales Executive will be capable of using their previous focused SaaS experience to close business. This will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Define and implement, with your manager and the technical team, a sales strategy adapted to your territory.
• Develop high-quality market research jointly with the rest of the Akur8 team.
• Network and promote Akur8 during local events related to insurance and technology.
• Identify, prospect, and engage decision makers for new opportunities.
• Lead discovery sessions with clients to understand their challenges and objectives, and prioritize opportunities.
• Prepare commercial proposals, pitch to and negotiate with C-Level executives.
• Build strong, long-lasting relationships with strategic prospects and clients.
• Think out of the box, suggest new ideas and approaches to improve our product, based on client expectations and feedback.

You will preferably be based in Munich, but we're open for remote setup for candidates based in Germany. Travelling for business generation and development, and participation in events will be required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years B2B sales experience or account management.
• Experience in a technology company, consulting firm, or (re)insurance company or brokerage.

Requirements

• Pioneer mindset, with agility and adaptability required to open doors and interact with CUO/CTO/Risk Management teams.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
• Capacity for detailed analysis and converging to detailed and actionable plans.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with experience selling to senior executives.
• Familiarity with sales protocols and SaaS company processes, use of CRMs, Slack communication.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes.
• Ability to build an effective and actionable account business strategy.
• Understanding of how to work with technical teams and navigate a global company.
