Role Description

Miss the buzz of booking a great meeting, but need work that fits around the rest of your life? Tiger Computing is a small, specialist Linux company that does brilliant work once it gets in front of the right people. Your job is to open those doors.

• Find the right companies and pick up the phone to start real conversations.
• Book meetings for Shaun, our Business Development Manager.
• No closing or technical knowledge needed.
• Flexible hours: from 12 hours a week (Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 2.30pm) up to around 25 hours across 4-5 days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in outbound calling, appointment setting, lead generation, or sales.
• Ability to make calls without being discouraged by "no".
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Ability to write clear, friendly emails.
• Desire to focus working hours on one company.

Requirements

• Research companies that fit Tiger's ideal client - mostly larger, high-tech organizations running Linux.
• Contact two people at each company: someone technical and someone in finance or leadership.
• Engage in genuine conversations to check for real needs and book meetings.
• Keep notes in Pipedrive, our CRM.
• On 12 hours, aim for around 15 new companies and one qualified meeting a week.

• £16 to £20 an hour, depending on experience.
• £100 for every qualified meeting that goes ahead.
• Another £100 when that company becomes a client.
• One qualified meeting a week adds around £400 a month to your hourly pay.

Company Description

Since 2002, Tiger has done one thing: designing, building, and supporting Linux systems for high-tech organizations. It's a small, experienced team of Red Hat certified engineers and Debian developers, certified to ISO 27001, with clients from bioscience to chip design. They take pride in doing things properly, doing what they say they'll do, and treating people like adults.
