[Hiring] National Sales Director @Imperial

Role Description

As National Sales Director, you'll own the national strategy for D&L. You'll shape the go-to-market plan, build and strengthen our independent rep network, open doors with new accounts, and report to leadership on what's working and what isn't. It's a hands-on role. You'll be in the market, at trade shows, and alongside your reps, and you'll also be the person who can walk our finance team through the numbers and the plan behind them.

• Finalize and execute the D&L go-to-market strategy, including which channels, markets, and accounts to prioritize first.
• Lead, evaluate, and grow our network of independent reps and agencies, upgrading coverage where needed and helping reps win with our line.
• Build relationships with key national and regional accounts, and negotiate pricing, terms, and programs.
• Own forecasting, pipeline management, and regular reporting to sales and finance leadership.
• Work with product, marketing, and operations to bring market feedback into assortments, launches, and inventory planning.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of sales experience in apparel, headwear, or related consumer goods.
• A track record of meeting or beating national sales targets.
• Experience leading independent sales reps or agencies.
• A data-driven approach: comfortable using CRM, pipeline data, and sales analytics to run the business and tell the story behind the numbers.
• Strong business sense, including margins, terms, and how sales decisions affect the P&L.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills, and comfort with 70% travel, especially in the first two years.

Requirements

• A background with premium or lifestyle apparel brands.
• Experience in outdoor, snow, surf, golf, or specialty retail channels.
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems such as NetSuite or Salesforce.
