[Hiring] Manager, Sales Engineering @Indeed

Role Description

You will help lead and scale our global solutions engineering team, driving technical excellence and ensuring seamless pre-sales engagements. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical sales strategy, working cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering to maximize customer adoption and success. Your leadership will help establish the Solutions Engineering team as a trusted Center of Excellence within Indeed. This is a remote position with occasional travel for customer meetings, team events, and industry conferences.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience.
• Experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales, or technical sales, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing solutions engineering teams.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, value-driven messaging for enterprise customers.
• Demonstrated experience with API integrations, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise security architectures.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and executive relationship management skills.
• Track record of driving strategic pre-sales initiatives that contribute to revenue growth and customer success.

Requirements

• Lead, mentor, and scale the Solutions Engineering team, ensuring team members have the tools, training, and guidance needed to succeed.
• Develop and implement scalable solutions engineering strategies to support revenue growth and customer success.
• Define and refine SE best practices, technical sales playbooks, and enablement materials to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise in high-value sales conversations, RFPs, RFIs, and large enterprise negotiations.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align technical sales messaging, customer feedback loops, and roadmap prioritization.
• Work closely with Sales Leadership to define and refine go-to-market (GTM) strategies, including vertical-specific sales motions.
