Role Description
Splunk is looking for a Leader, Inside Sales to build and coach our Federal Business Development Representative (BDR) team. You'll manage reps who generate qualified pipeline across Federal Civilian and DoD/Intel accounts, from both inbound and outbound leads. This is a hands-on coaching role: you'll spend real time alongside your reps, sharpening how they run discovery and qualify opportunities before handing them to the sellers who close. This role can be performed from anywhere in the United States.
Your Impact:

Lead, coach, and develop a team of BDRs covering Federal Civilian and DoD/Intel

Drive the team to source and qualify pipeline from inbound leads and outbound prospecting

Shadow rep calls and provide regular, specific feedback on discovery and qualification

Partner with Marketing on event registration campaigns and digital events, turning attendance and engagement into qualified conversations

Monitor weekly pipeline and activity metrics, keep forecast and CRM data accurate, and use the insights to adjust team focus

Work with account teams and specialist sellers to ensure smooth, high-quality handoffs

Attract, hire, and retain strong talent, and build a team culture that supports growth and accountability

Report on team performance to senior leadership and recommend improvements to the BDR process
What Success Looks Like:

Consistent attainment of pipeline generation goals: [add targets, e.g., qualified opportunities, pipeline value]

Strong conversion from lead to qualified opportunity, and from handoff to accepted opportunity

Measurable rep development, including ramp time, skill progression, and retention

Qualifications

Bachelors + 4 years of related experience
-
2+ years of experience with full cycle sales experience

1+ years of people management or team lead experience
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the SaaS industry

Experience running an entry level sales team (BDR, SDR)
