[Hiring] Inside Sales Representative @Purple

Role Description

The Inside Sales Representative is a key part of Purple’s sales story, connecting with customers over phone and chat to guide them toward the right night’s sleep. Reporting to the Inside Sales Team Leader, this role blends consultative selling with genuine storytelling, helping customers understand what makes Purple different while hitting key performance goals along the way. It’s a role for someone who thrives on human connection and wants to help people feel good about the products they choose.

• Drive incremental sales through inbound (and some outbound) channels.
• Engage with customer inquiries via phone, chat, and other communication channels.
• Build excitement and brand value using Purple's Sales Methodology framework.
• Guide customers up the buying ladder to deliver an optimal Purple experience.
• Document detailed notes for every customer interaction.
• Maintain sales KPIs, including sales/hr, average order value, engagements, CSAT, and discount rates.
• Maintain in-depth, current knowledge of all products, prices, promotions, and policies.
• Attend trainings, team meetings, and coaching sessions as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (some college preferred).
• One to two years of sales experience (Contact Center experience a plus).
• Experience with sales CRM's, order processing systems, and customer engagement tools.
• Top-notch sales skills with familiarity in various sales methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, competitive environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the mattress/sleep products industry.
• Strong work ethic and mental fortitude.
• Superior computer literacy, typing, and multi-tasking skills.
• Remote work experience.

Work Hours (Good Faith Estimate)

This full-time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week. This is a good faith estimate, and actual hours may vary based on business needs.
