Role Description

You will drive trade marketing and the distribution of our services through targeted sales channels to consistently grow market share and be accountable for hitting steep sales targets in the Western Cape Atlantic Seaboard.

• Trade areas include: Paarden Eiland, Brooklyn, Tigerhof, Sanddrift, Century City, Century Village, Sable Square, Summer Greens, Joe Slovo, Sunset Beach, Milnerton, Montague Gardens, Kilarney Gardens, Dunoon, Bloubergstrand, Parklands, Tableview, Table Bay, Flamingo Vlei, Eden on the Bay, etc.
• Actively source and find new sales opportunities.
• Build a sales pipeline and close deals.
• Sign up merchants and assist them with the FICA documentation required.
• Facilitate warm leads with sign up process and documentation.
• Conduct complimentary follow up visits to larger clients.
• Full focus on specialized campaigns and detailed reporting on top merchant campaigns or area targeted campaigns.
• Monitor the competition in the marketplace and share any relevant insights.
• Take full ownership and accountability for resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, offering solutions, and making recommendations to management.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate (Matric) is required.
• A qualification in Business Management or Marketing Management will be advantageous.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years Field or Outbound Sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport are essential.
• Previous experience in route optimization, solution selling, activations, and cold calling.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Intermediate knowledge using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
• A proven sales track record, a high sales focus, and customer orientation along with advanced knowledge of Sales funnel & Pipeline management.
• Strong relationship management skills as well as a problem solver and self-starter.
• Knowledge of territory planning as well as good time management skills.
• Previous exposure working within merchant services or the banking sector is advantageous.
• Sales and Fintech understanding as well as FMCG experience is advantageous.
• FICA training is advantageous.
