Role Description
The Enterprise Sales Leader, AMER will lead a small sales team selling a technical platform to large engineering organizations. This role involves managing four Account Executives with plans to grow the team to six, focusing on both East and West coverage.

Lead the day-to-day work of the AMER Account Executive team, including pipeline reviews, deal strategy, coaching, and one-on-ones.

Hire and onboard two additional Account Executives covering East and West, with starts targeted for October.

Partner with AEs on enterprise deals, helping them build business cases that resonate with technical stakeholders and economic buyers.

Take ownership of forecasting over time, aiming to plan a quarter ahead rather than a month.

Build the outbound motion alongside the team, utilizing community signals from Common Room and the Argo ecosystem to open new accounts.

Work with marketing and sales engineering to iterate on the sales deck and prepare the team for a significant product announcement this fall.

Represent field learnings back to product to ensure development aligns with enterprise buyer needs.
Qualifications

Valued personal relationships, camaraderie, collaboration, and accountability.

Experience leading a team of Account Executives, including hiring, ramping, coaching, and maintaining a predictable quarter cadence.

Sold a commercial platform alongside a widely adopted open-source project, articulating the value of the paid layer to teams using the free version.

Worked at a small company selling into large enterprises, earning credibility without a household brand.

Coached deal strategy with platform and technical buyers; deep domain expertise in Kubernetes or GitOps is a plus.

Proactively built pipeline with the team and had opinions about outbound based on experience.

Communicated clearly with peers across marketing, product, and support, earning trust regarding forecasts.
Requirements

Meet each Account Executive, understand their strengths, and identify areas for support within the first 30 days.

Listen to calls and read deals to develop insights on losses and reasons.

Run pipeline reviews in your own voice, establishing clear expectations.

Initiate the search for two new AEs and help shape the profile.

Ensure the forecast is accurate enough for leadership planning by the end of 90 days.

Sign or finalize onboarding for two new hires.

Establish a repeatable outbound motion with account selection, messaging, and a weekly rhythm.

Collaborate with marketing on the next version of the sales deck.

By six months, have a team of six AEs with new hires ramping on plan and demonstrable deals closed due to coaching.

Ensure the fall product launch has a sales motion, including requested enablement.
