Role Description
The Cell Therapy Account Manager is responsible for driving adoption and volume growth of the CareDx Cell Therapy & Transplant portfolio, including AlloHeme and associated molecular testing and digital solutions. Focusing primarily on blood and marrow transplant centers, cell therapy programs, hematology-oncology practices, and academic medical centers, the Cell Therapy Account Manager will:

Educate providers on the clinical value of AlloHeme.

Support implementation of new testing programs.

Drive ongoing utilization through strategic account management.
This role reports directly to the National Sales Director, Cell Therapy & Transplant.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Account Management:
-
Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, clinical workflows, operational challenges, and organizational objectives.

Identify opportunities to expand adoption of CareDx Cell Therapy & Transplant solutions.

Develop account-specific strategies to drive utilization and long-term growth.

Clinical Education & Belief Building:
-
Build clinical understanding and confidence in AlloHeme and the broader CareDx Cell Therapy & Transplant portfolio.

Partner with Medical Affairs to address advanced scientific and clinical questions when appropriate.

Account Activation & Implementation:
-
Lead account onboarding and activation activities to support successful implementation of AlloHeme and other CareDx testing solutions.

Work with clinical liaisons and customer stakeholders to establish ordering, reporting, sample logistics, and operational workflows.

Help customers navigate institutional review and approval processes required for adoption.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive adoption, increase market penetration, and expand the CareDx footprint.

Effectively prioritize opportunities and resources to maximize territory performance.

Contracting & Business Development:

Support execution of Laboratory Service Agreements (LSAs) and other customer agreements as needed.

Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate contracting activities and remove barriers to implementation and adoption.

Building Strong Customer Relationships:

Identify and engage key clinical, laboratory, operational, and administrative stakeholders.
-
Establish trusted partnerships across customer organizations.
-
Proactively identify unmet needs and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and account retention.

Managing the Sales Pipeline:

Maintain a robust sales pipeline and territory business plan.
-
Forecast opportunities, track implementation milestones, monitor utilization trends, and provide regular business updates on territory performance.

Collaborating with Internal Teams:

Partner closely with Clinical Liaison, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Customer Experience, Market Access, Sales Operations, and Operations teams.

Develop solutions that support customer success and drive business growth.
Qualifications
-
Bachelorβs degree required, advance degree preferred.
-
Minimum of 10 years sales or strategic account management experience in the healthcare industry.

Demonstrated ability to sell clinically within the hematology-oncology market.
-
Experience supporting blood and marrow transplant, cell therapy, or CAR-T programs preferred.
-
Proven success selling into large academic medical centers, cancer centers, hospitals, and complex healthcare systems.

Demonstrated experience navigating multi-stakeholder decision-making environments.

Proven ability to establish and implement clinical, operational, laboratory, or workflow protocols within healthcare organizations.

Experience supporting healthcare contracting processes; experience with Laboratory Service Agreements (LSAs) or related agreements preferred.

Strong strategic account management and territory planning skills.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to drive customer adoption and implementation success.

Must be willing to travel 50-75% or greater and effectively manage a large geographic territory.

Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce.com and analytical tools.
