Role Description

We are seeking a metallurgist or materials engineer with the personality, curiosity, and ambition to become an exceptional technical salesperson. The successful candidate will use their technical knowledge to understand customer needs, solve application challenges, and grow a significant specialty-alloys territory.

• Manage and develop a sustained customer base across Southern Germany and German-speaking Switzerland.
• Create and execute account and territory growth plans.
• Identify new applications, customers, and market-share opportunities.
• Manage pricing, opportunity progression, forecasting, and pipeline discipline.
• Balance short-term transactional requirements with longer-term strategic account development.
• Coordinate internal technical, operational, and commercial resources to deliver against customer needs.
• Develop strong knowledge of the company’s product portfolio, product functionality, and alloy applications.
• Understand relevant markets, competitor positioning, and pricing practices and policies.
• Translate technical customer requirements into commercially viable solutions.
• Use knowledge of systems and processes to improve workflow and customer responsiveness.

Qualifications

• German national with fluent English.
• Strong strategic thinker with exceptional business development and account management potential.
• Personable with an outgoing personality and outstanding communication skills.
• Strong technical understanding of modern material engineering (Werkstofftechnik).

Benefits

• €70,000 to €100,000 Basic salary + car allowance (negotiable/experience dependent).
• Unbelievable bonuses taking OTE to €140k+; could earn €200k+.
