Role Description

This role involves developing and maintaining a sales strategy within the territory to maximize success and effectiveness in meeting growth initiatives and targets through end user channels.

  • Manages the overall sales functions of the business unit within the assigned territory to create a competitive advantage.
  • Maximizes customer satisfaction and optimizes return on investment for the business unit.
  • Possesses a general understanding of the products or services provided by SSS and their relation to overall operations and customers.
  • Collaborates with both internal teams and customers for timely and accurate completion of quotations, projects, reports, and accountability metrics.
  • Maintains good housekeeping standards and practices safety daily utilizing appropriate protective gear.
  • Strives to be punctual and maintain a high standard of attendance.
  • Participates in company-sponsored training and maintains all required job training records.
  • Responsible for following all SSS policies and procedures, including the employee manual and the Quality & HSE System.
  • Performs any other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • ABET accredited Engineering degree and/or 5-7 years of experience in Sales within the Sealing or Power Production industry.
  • Experience in Technical Sales required.
  • Travel required 75% or exceeding.
  • Must have motivational skills and managerial skills with a high sense of urgency to recognize equipment, process, and industry opportunities in the market.
  • Experience with and enjoys networking within niche industry.
  • Interpersonal skills are critical for optimum communication with customers and internal SSS.
  • Able to organize and prioritize work assignments.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to work in a team and lead teams to ensure successful program implementation.
  • Good written and verbal reporting skills.
  • Excellent computer application skills in MS Office products.
