Role Description
The Strategic Technical Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of contracted services to an assigned client or client portfolio, including:
- Working within a select client with complex IT support/environment requirements.
- Overall ownership of assigned client portfolio, resolving technical and account management issues.
- Engaging with client points of contact and team members to ensure successful operations and service delivery.
- Assessing and understanding the technical needs of clients and making necessary recommendations.
- Ensuring the resolution of critical technical issues and incidents.
- Developing and delivering reporting, documentation, and training for client points of contact.
- Coordinating with Managed Solution and client resources for effective IT strategy implementation.
- Improving service operations, processes, and procedures.
- Communicating with key stakeholders to address and resolve client/contract/service risks.
- Accountability for clients’ infrastructure and server maintenance per contract requirements.
- Mentoring and supervising daily activities of Dedicated Support staff.
- Performing or coordinating technology project services as well as T&M work for assigned client.
- Ensuring successful management of client server and desktop agent counts.
- Ensuring documentation management for clients.
- Compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Other related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, or related field.
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in a Technical Account Manager or equivalent position.
- Prior experience in an outsourced IT services provider.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend business strategies and technical solutions.
- Strong organizational and technical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrated strong levels of integrity and understanding of cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
- High proficiency across the Microsoft stack (including Azure, Microsoft365, Active Directory, Exchange Online).
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, VDI environments).
- Advanced knowledge of Endpoint Security tools (EDR/XDR).
- Proficiency in using tools such as PowerBI.
- Strong familiarity with PowerApps/Power Automate.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in a Windows environment.
- Experience managing enterprise storage and backups.
- Strong knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting in a LAN/WAN environment.
- Demonstrated success using ticket systems to document client issues.
