Role Description

As the Startup Growth Lead at Level Sports, Inc., you will be responsible for scaling and leveraging the existing profitable foundation into an enterprise.

  • Responsible for the entire business, including P&L ownership, physical product operations and development, growth marketing, hiring and managing a core team, and an ultimate liquidity event, whether M&A or IPO.
  • Initially execute most tasks and day-to-day work to scale, including paid media and partnership marketing.
  • Manage operations and logistics while reporting directly to the CEO of Mechanism Ventures.
  • Access to Mechanism’s in-house Practice Areas for operational support across various functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and be accountable for rapid growth and the business P&L.
  • Oversee and execute day-to-day operations, including inventory and supplier management, management of our warehouse and third-party logistics team, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage all supplier relationships, including nylon turf production, rubber and plastic parts injection molding, woodworking, and more.
  • Own and develop the strategic vision of the business in coordination with the board of directors.
  • Drive numerous growth marketing initiatives to help drive business growth and learning.
  • Manage growth analytics to drive performance across all funnels.
  • Identify, test, and scale new customer acquisition channels and product expansions.

What to Expect

  • 30 Days: Get access to systems and tools, complete Mechanism growth training and onboarding, build trust with the Mechanism team, understand current growth capabilities, and confirm early signs of meeting expectations via a performance review.
  • 60 Days: Scale the performance of the existing business, build trust with your team, take full operational and P&L responsibility, and confirm early signs of meeting expectations via a performance review.
  • 90 Days: Scale the business to maximize profitability and operational excellence, and confirm meeting all expectations via a performance review.

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise across all growth marketing areas, including paid media, organic and paid social, SEO, partnerships, growth product, and retention marketing.
  • Deep analytical and strategic expertise across growth modeling, funnel optimization, A/B testing, growth product, and digital marketing.
  • Analytical and data-driven background, with a proven ability to extract valuable insights from large data sets.
  • Demonstrated experience building businesses and leading teams of top performers.
  • Experience driving operational excellence at scale.
  • Experience working with physical product design and production, global supply chain management, and logistics is a strong plus.

Logistics

  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Full-time role with required overlap with US ET for most of the workday.
  • Dedication beyond the standard 9 to 5 is expected.

Compensation

  • Compensation packages include a base salary and a significant equity stake.
  • For candidates in New York, Washington, Colorado, California, and Illinois, the base salary range is $170,000 - $220,000 USD.
  • Compensation may vary outside of this range based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
