About the Role:

Hasura is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team and help drive the technical evaluation process, be a key player in getting the sales win, and begin delivering AI transformation for our largest prospects and customers. In this role, you will be the tip of the GTM spear of our ground breaking product, PromptQL, and be a key enabler of Hasura’s growth, working hand-in-hand with the world’s largest companies to push them to think bigger about what AI can do for their business. 

We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, curious, and motivated. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, have an ability to challenge and be able to switch quickly between business and technical conversations. You are flexible with change, comfortable in an innovative sales process, and eager to be part of an extremely fast paced sales cycle. 

Location: San Francisco, Hybrid, 2-3 days in our San Francisco office. Travel to customer site as needed 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Technical Sales Process: You’ll take the reins in managing the technical aspect of the sales cycle, from discovery to closing. Your mission is to guide potential customers through Hasura’s PromptQL product, helping them understand how it can drive business value 

  • Own the Technical Win: As a Senior Sales Engineer, you'll lead technical discussions, architecture workshops, and deep dives into Hasura’s capabilities. Successfully manage the end-to-end delivery of proof of value engagements with customers.

  • Deliver Engaging Demos and Workshops: Become a true product evangelist by delivering compelling product demonstrations that showcase the power and flexibility of Hasura. You'll host tailored technical workshops to ensure customers understand how Hasura can drive AI transformation in their organizations. 

  • Consult and Solve: Address complex technical questions, help customers overcome integration and AI challenges, and work with internal engineering teams to craft tailored solutions that meet specific customer needs.

  • Build Customer Relationships: As a technical expert, you’ll build credibility and trust with customers, positioning yourself as their go-to resource for technical insights. You'll advocate for customer requirements with Hasura’s product team to continuously enhance our offerings.

  • Shape the Future of Hasura: Take ownership of creating essential presales collateral, including demos and instructional materials, that will scale across the team. Plus, select a specialized area of focus to become a technical subject matter expert (SME) and provide thought leadership.

  • Represent Hasura at Industry Events: Join the team at conferences, meetups, and events to evangelize Hasura's vision, build relationships with potential customers, and learn from industry leaders.

  • Focus on Value and ROI: You'll sell not just technical functionality but also the business value and ROI that Hasura delivers—helping customers understand the transformative potential of our platform.

  • Collaborate and Innovate: You’ll work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to continually improve the way we support and empower customers. You’ll also seek out new ways to enhance the customer experience and drive satisfaction in a fun, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, with at least 3+ years in Sales or Solutions Engineering. You have a proven track record of driving customer success and technical wins in a presales capacity.

  • Deep technical expertise: You bring extensive knowledge of GenAI, LLMs, APIs, and backend technologies like Java, NodeJS, Python, as well as familiarity with modern database vendors and technologies (OLTP, NoSQL).

  • Customer-Centric Approach: You are empathetic and passionate about creating positive customer experiences, always putting the customer’s needs first and building strong, long-term relationships.

  • Clear Communicator: You have the ability to explain complex technical concepts concisely, whether it’s in a demo, email, or meeting, and can tailor your messaging to various audiences.

  • Self-Starter and Motivated: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, constantly pushing yourself to meet and exceed sales quotas.

  • Public Speaking Comfort: You’re comfortable presenting in front of an audience, whether virtual or in person, and can represent Hasura with confidence at industry events and customer engagements.

  • Collaborative Team Player: You understand that teamwork is key to success and can work effectively across teams to achieve common goals.

  • Passion for Technology: You’re excited by the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and are always eager to learn about the latest innovations in data, APIs, and developer tools.

Location:

San Francisco Bay Area, Hybrid, 2-3 days in our SF office + travel to customer site as needed 

Compensation:

The compensation for this role ranges from $170-225k base + bonus plus equity
