Role Description

The Senior Relationship Manager serves as the Trusted Advisor for clients and prospects who are primarily active commercial real estate owners, investors, and developers.

  • Provide comprehensive financial advice and solutions to meet clients' financial objectives.
  • Utilize the full breadth of Key’s product platform, including traditional bank products and capital markets executions.
  • Drive financial performance through profitable revenue growth, active portfolio management, and strong risk management discipline.
  • Develop new business relationships while deepening existing client relationships.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop a clear and holistic understanding of the client’s business through analysis of management practices, portfolio dynamics, and business strategy.
  • Craft value-added solutions, ideas, and advice, viewed by the client as a valued business partner.
  • Provide knowledge and access to Key’s product platform, including credit facilities, cash management, interest rate management, syndications, private equity, and more.
  • Educate clients on Key’s capabilities and identify potential opportunities.
  • Structure and lead credit and non-credit product delivery while demonstrating sound risk management.
  • Proactively manage the portfolio to maximize profitability and ensure strong asset quality.
  • Resolve out-of-balance and/or other default situations in the portfolio.
  • Partner with Credit, Product Partners, Servicing, and others to identify cross-sell opportunities and deepen client relationships.
  • Develop strategies for retaining, growing, acquiring, and exiting client relationships based on business strategy.
  • Demonstrate functional, technical, and credit expertise and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
  • Embrace business development processes and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in community and professional organizations to enhance expertise and profile.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7+ years of real estate finance related experience.
  • A proven understanding of balancing business development and asset quality/risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team to maximize skills and capabilities.

Requirements

  • This position may be located in Los Angeles, Orange County, or Newport Beach, CA.
  • Consideration for candidates in Phoenix, AZ.

  • Base salary range of $160,000 to $200,000 annually depending on location and experience.
