Role Description
Join our team at Terex/CBI as a skilled and dedicated Sales and Marketing Director. This is a fully remote position with 75% travel.
As a Sales and Marketing Director at Terex/CBI, you will play a pivotal role in generating Sales:
- Lead all commercial aspects of the business to maximize sales and margins on industrial environmental equipment.
- Implement strong and effective dealer management practices.
- Expand distribution network and onboard new dealers in open territory.
- Increase customer awareness and use of our products, services, and solutions.
- Manage regional sales managers to achieve the Company’s targets for machine sales and margin.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop a team of Regional Sales Managers.
- Develop, implement, and manage sales initiatives for Distributors within the assigned region.
- Develop and agree on annual business plans for each distributor, providing regular documented feedback on progress vs plan.
- Identify, appoint, and assist in the development of new distributor accounts.
- Develop, maintain, and manage machine sale funnel in support of monthly sales targets.
- Ensure contracts for all distributor accounts are kept current and aligned to Terex Standards.
- Establish distributor sales targets and provide forecasts for machine sales.
- Assist with development and support of parts sales via installed based management.
- Secure sales orders for machines in line with agreed targets.
- Work directly with distributors to drive sales and improve service levels.
- Participate in the management of credit control aspects of distributor accounts.
- Assist with training of distributor staff on company products and services.
- Liaise with other company functions to ensure distributor accounts have access to necessary resources.
- Conduct ongoing research of market and business activity to identify new opportunities.
- Receive feedback on existing products and convey information to engineering and marketing teams.
- Establish and track dealer/end user customer satisfaction levels.
- Attend trade shows, dealer conferences, and exhibitions.
- Lead Marketing Manager and ensure a comprehensive budget and media plan.
- Assist with implementation of new management techniques, systems, processes, or reports.
- Ensure compliance with Terex and local laws and advise on contradictions with company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate College degree or equivalent amount of related work experience.
- 10+ years sales experience.
- 5+ years distributor development/management.
- Significant direct experience of managing distributor accounts within the capital equipment construction business.
- Extensive knowledge of new business development, product marketing, and sales.
- In-depth technical, sales, and applications knowledge of our products.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to prepare and deliver formal presentations to customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to travel (75%).
