Role Description
This position is for a Regional Account Director based in Edmonton, responsible for leading sales initiatives within Northern Alberta for Fairmont/Accor Canada’s Western Mountain Collection.
- Exceed personal sales quota (revenue and activities) on behalf of all hotels in the Mountain Region
- Adapt selling style to various business types (i.e., Social, C-level meetings, sport groups)
- Drive guest room ADR while confirming F&B and ancillary spend
- Actively prospect new business and develop key accounts
- Conduct routine & timely calls on a specific set of accounts within the Northern Alberta market
- Participate in training, industry trade shows, and sales trips as required
- Collect market & competitive intelligence to implement strategy and long-term goals
- Develop and implement quarterly action plans
- Maintain an effective record of correspondence
- Participate and contribute in Sales Meetings
- Adhere to the hotel's vehicle handling and safety policies
- Work in a fast-paced environment for short lead programs
- Handle special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years hospitality sales manager experience
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Hotel Management Degree as an asset
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven sales leader with a professional, positive, and team-focused approach to goal attainment
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days
- Goal oriented and organized
Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada; the hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization
