Role Description

This role is part of the talented Navico Group Sales team, contributing to year over year sales growth and operational improvement by:

  • Growing existing business and finding new business
  • Representing Navico Group within your assigned territory
  • Managing all of Navico Group’s brands, including Simrad, Lowrance, B&G, CMAP, Mastervolt, and others

Role is remote but candidates must reside in sales territory (AR, MO).

Essential Functions include:

  • Meeting or exceeding sales objectives while maintaining acceptable gross margins
  • Growing market share of brands and products assigned for territory
  • Establishing and managing yearly dealer sales targets and providing accurate sales and inventory forecasts
  • Planning and executing territory sales plans and strategies as part of overall company strategy
  • Establishing and maximizing strong dealer and customer relationships
  • Assisting brands in product development, pricing, and incentive programs
  • Carrying out brand-specific training programs for dealers when required
  • Providing input into product materials, including catalogs, brochures, and marketing events
  • Assisting brands and dealers with event planning and execution
  • Creating dealer-specific marketing plans for each territory
  • Supporting communication across Brunswick business units
  • Providing accurate and timely competitive information
  • Performing all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience in marine, outdoor recreation, or adjacent industry
  • 2+ years of experience selling or integrating technical products
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft suite
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Experience with territory management and customer call planning
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in financial analysis (i.e. gross margin, sales growth, etc)
  • Initiative to drive solutions from beginning to end
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the work week

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated experience in managing retail, distribution channels, and dealer networks
  • Meaningful experience in sales or sales management, preferably in the marine or fishing industry
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to rapidly changing markets
  • Experience with eCommerce sales strategies
