Role Description
This role involves compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads and making outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers.
- Compile lists of prospective customers based on various sources
- Make outbound lead follow-up calls to qualify leads and sell products and services
- Handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales
- Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers
- Emphasise salable features, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders
- Organise and coordinate customer training and system demos
- Establish and maintain business relationships with customers
- Prepare reports of business transactions
- Learn and promote company products and services
- Provide feedback to management and Marketing regarding customer needs and concerns
- Enter new customer data and other sales data into the computer database
- Maintain customer contact information for lead generation purposes
- Work with outside sales representatives and/or account managers
- Strategise with team members to improve sales figures
- Investigate and assist in resolving customer problems with deliveries and other issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree a plus
- Two years of sales experience
- Industry experience in the property restoration sector
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- High-energy, self-motivated, and a hard worker
- Experience in the Property Restoration industry a plus
- Excellent conversational and listening skills
- Clear and precise speaker with professional phone presence
- Research skills—must be an excellent “googler”
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal direct supervision
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
- Innovative, proactive, and self-directed
- Ability to focus on goals and develop a work plan that produces desired results
