[Hiring] Coffee Trader @Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG)

Role Description

For our group company, Interamerican Coffee Pty Ltd, we are looking for a Coffee Trader (f/m/d). The position will be based in Melbourne and will report directly to the Operations Manager based in Sydney.

• Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with coffee roasters across Victoria and South Australia
• Business development: Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand market share and grow the customer base
• Trade execution: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and trading terms with clients & suppliers
• Market monitoring: Track coffee market trends, pricing movements, and supply chain dynamics to support trading strategies
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance
• Brand representation: Represent InterAmerican Coffee Australia at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
• Trade analysis: Provide market insights and client feedback to support sourcing and procurement decisions
• Sales performance: Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth

Qualifications

• Proven experience in trading, sales, or account management, with coffee industry experience highly desirable
• Strong commercial judgement with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals
• Proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships and consistently put clients at the center of your work
• Excellent negotiation, communication capabilities, and acute self-awareness
• Solid understanding of coffee markets and supply chains, from commercial to specialty segments
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently while collaborating with a wider team
• Willingness to travel regularly across Victoria and South Australia, visit the Sydney office several times a year, and occasionally travel to other states or countries as required
• Fluency in English, with Spanish or Portuguese considered an advantage
• Evolved Q Grader certification (highly desirable)
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
