Role Description
The purpose of this role is to manage relationships between the professional consultants, architects, and engineers who specify products for inclusion into their design of security systems.
- Cultivate and manage business relationships with the A&E Program members
- Proactively maintain a consistent cadence of in-person meetings with new and existing A&E Program members
- Build the network of A&E Program members by leveraging programs and outreach initiatives driven from the organization
- Serve as a technical liaison between Axis Communications and the A&E Program members
- Work cohesively with the Manager, A&E Program regarding program initiatives and providing recommendations for improvement
- Support security specifiers by traveling to job sites, offices, security conferences and local/national trade shows to maintain relationships with security consultants
- Assist the A&E Program Manager with the planning and implementation of annual A&E events
- Maintain database of A&E Program members within region, using CRM and Salesforce
- Consistently create opportunities for the program’s growth through training, education and business relationship management
- Work with the Regional Sales Managers to provide excellent customer service
- Develop and complete monthly and quarterly reports in a timely manner
- Develop and implement a regional business strategy for the A&E Community
- Provide technical support and design application assistance to the A&E Program Members
- Leverage Axis tools such as AXIS Site Designer and Autodesk plugins to increase Axis mindshare and specification of security projects within the A&E community
- Continue learning about Axis technology, innovations and products
Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of all facets of the physical electronic security industry
- Physical network knowledge
- Understanding of Cyber
- Strong Relationship management
- Self-Motivated
- Proactive at driving engagements
- Excellent communication skills
- Efficient problem solver
- Superb networking and interpersonal skills
- Travel independently and productively
- Ideally located in or around NYC
Requirements
- 5-10 years past experience in the following:
- Security integration and security consulting
- Hardware installation and technical sales experience
- System design and application
- Physical demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Employee is occasionally required to lift 20-25 lbs
- Expected travel time for this position is approximately 50% annually
- Travel region: Northeast US including New York State and New Jersey
- Regular visits to New York City, Newark NJ, Boston, Buffalo, & Albany areas
- Ideal candidate location is in or around New York City
