[Hiring] Long Term Agreement for Engagement of Individual Consultants for Fact-Checking and Research @AGORA

Role Description

The Fact-Checking and Research Consultant will:

• Fact-check external-facing content related to UNICEF’s global communication and advocacy priorities.
• Provide background research for content produced by GCA and in collaboration with other divisions.
• Be available for assignments from other DGCA teams, UNICEF divisions, and offices as needed.
• Use own equipment (laptops, microphones, software, etc.) for tasks.
• Deliver assignments within the agreed timeline.

Qualifications

• University degree (BA) in international development or social science related areas.
• A minimum of five years of research and fact-checking experience.
• Fluency in oral and written English; knowledge of another UN language is a plus.

Requirements

• Knowledge of current key development issues and trends relevant to children and women.
• Strong knowledge of UNICEF’s programmes, humanitarian activities, and policies.
• Excellent research and fact-checking skills.
• Knowledge of the work of the UN system is preferred.
