Role Description

As we transition from a service-oriented model to a product-driven platform, we are expanding our remote team. We are looking for a Director, Research & Insights, Quantitative to contribute to our mission by leading full-service quantitative primary market research for brand, insights and commercial leads at pharmaceutical companies, from framing the business question and designing the study to delivering the recommendations brand teams act on.

In this role you’ll directly manage one team member and indirectly coordinate and manage internal teams to deliver high-quality results for your clients. How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Lead quantitative primary market research end-to-end for brand, insights and commercial leads at pharmaceutical companies, turning their business questions into recommendations they act on.
• Design fit-for-purpose studies among Healthcare Providers (HCPs), patients and payers, including pulse surveys, message and concept testing, Target Product Profile (TPP) and demand assessments, conjoint and awareness, trial and usage (ATU) tracking, from proposals/protocol memos through questionnaires, sample frames and analysis plans.
• Direct and conduct analysis, from crosstabs and significance testing to conjoint and demand modeling, and synthesize findings into a clear story for director and VP-level clients.
• Partner with Qualitative Directors to deliver integrated quant and qual programs with a single point of view.
• Reporting to a Senior Director / Team Lead, manage, coach and develop 1 to 3 analysts and managers, building their skills in study design, analysis and storytelling.
• Direct Konovo's fulfillment and reporting teams so studies field on time, to specification and in line with pharmaceutical industry standards.
• Grow client partnerships by identifying new research needs within existing accounts, writing proposals and cost estimates, and tracking revenue, margin and forecasts for your portfolio.
• Raise the bar for research quality by building repeatable processes, templates and AI-enabled approaches to design, analysis and reporting that the wider team adopts.

Qualifications

• Proactive research leader with strong strategic, creative and analytical thinking skills.
• 3-5 years of experience leading full-service quantitative primary market research in healthcare or pharmaceuticals, at a full-service agency or consultancy, or on the client side.
• A track record of personally authoring research deliverables: questionnaires, analysis plans and final reports with strategic recommendations.
• Hands-on ownership of study design, analysis and reporting; experience limited to fieldwork, sample or panel management does not meet this requirement.
• Deep expertise in quantitative methods, including questionnaire design, sampling, weighting and statistical analysis, plus enough familiarity with qualitative research to co-lead integrated projects.
• Experience presenting findings and recommendations directly to pharmaceutical brand, insights or commercial leadership.
• Relevant experience managing and developing researchers.
• Working knowledge of the US pharmaceutical market, including brand planning, launch dynamics, access and HCP decision-making.
• Excellent storytelling, writing and presentation skills, with the presence to lead senior client conversations.
• Ability to lead many concurrent studies under tight timelines, adapting well to changing priorities without losing attention to detail.
• Comfortable leveraging AI-enabled tools to streamline study design, analysis and reporting, and increase speed without compromising data integrity or research quality.
• Bachelor's degree required, and ability to travel as required for client meetings and team events.

Company Description

Our job titles and range posted may span more than one career level for a given job title. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will also be eligible for a variable plus employee benefits. The estimated cash compensation range for this US based role is: $95,000-$115,000 USD.
