Role Description
The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship experience that provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and be part of our company. Our college interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored under their respective managers, and continue to develop throughout the entire summer. Through the internship program, our interns can attend development workshops that are focused on key business concepts. Interns may work within the skills-based tracks of:

This is a paid 10-week summer internship from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week). Interns may reside in either a technical or non-technical area. Development workshops are provided to help with the transition from school to the corporate environment. Housing is not provided as part of our program.
Essential Accountabilities:

Conduct primary research projects to improve the performance of the Health Plan and its affiliates.

Develop and field simple surveys, perform data analysis, and reporting.

Collaborate with team members to develop recommendations for operational efficiencies and customer experience improvements.

Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects.

Complete work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.

Perform a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks covering a broad range of business-related projects.

Create and deliver presentations at the completion of the internship.

Demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values.

Maintain confidentiality and protection of member privacy in accordance with company policies.

Exhibit regular and reliable attendance.

Perform other functions as assigned by management.
Qualifications
-
Desired Majors/Degree Programs Include: Public Health, Psychology, Business Analytics, Market Research, Business, Mathematics, Marketing, Statistics or similar program(s).

Preferred (but not required) experience with:
-
Basic experience in survey design, data analysis, and report writing.
-
Highly effective communication and project management skills.
-
Experience with analytical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) or survey administration platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Google Forms).

Must be willing to take additional trainings in the area of survey design and data analysis.

High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program).

Must be in good academic standing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Ability to work well in a team and establish good working relationships with peers.

Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.

Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed.
