[Hiring] Business Research Intern @Barkera

Role Description

The Business Research Role is to help support the evolution of Barkera. We are seeking passionate individual(s) to conduct extensive research on the Pet Industry to provide strategy recommendations to management. The Business Research Role will receive confidential industry knowledge to help support this important role.

As a member of the Barkera team, you will be assisting with:

• Researching ecosystem evaluation and expansion
• Startup data analysis
• Mentorship on startup accelerator program strategy and execution
• Relationship development
• Identifying and working with industry experts within the pet care industry

As a team member, you may be required to attend:

• Weekly team meetings
• 1:1 meetings with various executives

Opportunities To Learn:

• Willingness to conduct research on the pet care industry and startup ecosystem
• Ability to learn and create reports/presentations in Excel / PowerPoint
• Perform various analytic tasks to support various strategies
• Market scouting activities to identify new areas of innovation and development
• Support management with additional tasks and projects as needed
• College interest in general business, international business, finance, accounting, interdisciplinary studies, entrepreneurship, or innovation along with Science Research in the Pet and Veterinary fields

Qualifications

• Strong desire to learn along with a professional drive
• Understanding of different marketing techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords, Email)
• Interest in learning various marketing platforms to produce content
• Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university
• Leadership & Management Majors is a plus
• Academic work is a priority
• Portfolio of published articles, newscasts etc is a plus
• Ability to manage hours and provide weekly status reports
• Required to track time and present anticipated hours available weekly
• Working environment: Home office, On Campus, and must have access to a computer with internet

Requirements

This is a remote role with meetings that may occur in the Broward Center of Innovation or Online Meetings.
