[Hiring] Temporary HEDIS - Quality Improvement @UPMC

Role Description

UPMC Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary HEDIS position in the Quality Improvement department. This is a temporary position working Monday through Friday daylight hours and will be a remote position. This temporary position is scheduled for approximately four months. In this role, you will participate in the Health Plan Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) program, including data collection and medical record abstraction.

• Review and abstraction of medical records.
• Electronic data entry into project-specific computer software documentation system.
• Document findings from electronic medical record system in software documentation system.
• Record accurate and detailed records in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Strongly Preferred.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• HEDIS experience highly preferred.
• RN preferred.
• One year of administrative support working experience highly preferred.
• Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Must possess typing skills and working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar and spreadsheets.
• Must possess the ability to learn and effectively use various software programs.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without requiring, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
• UPMC does not participate in STEM OPT.
