Role Description

This is a full-time, unpaid, volunteer position. As a member of the National Events team, this role is responsible for coordinating small and large-scale events and meetings that engage grassroots activists, national staff, donors, and key stakeholders.

  • Types of events can include the National Grassroots Summit, Regional Summits, Simulated Article V Convention, Constitutional Defense, or others.
  • Works closely with regional and national leadership to plan, execute, and oversee logistics for in-person events.
  • Reports to the Chief Grassroots Officer.
  • Develops and manages event timelines, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinates event logistics, including vendor relations, venue selection, travel, and accommodations.
  • Assists in creating and distributing event materials, such as invitations and agendas.
  • Collaborates with marketing and communications teams to promote events.
  • Ensures successful event execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Partners with Regional Directors to identify and equip their teams for participation and outreach of the national events.
  • Provides additional support as requested.

Qualifications

  • Event planning and project management experience.
  • Proficiency with event software (e.g., Eventbrite/Brushfire, Zoom, or other platforms).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of GSuites (Google Sheets, Docs, and Calendar), and Slack.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including vendor relations experience.
  • Skills and experience writing RFP’s.
  • Skills and experience creating and recapping event budgets.
