Role Description

The Research Assistant is a full-time member of the External Relations team, responsible for identifying, researching, and managing data regarding donors and donor prospects, while ensuring accurate data entry and financial tracking.

  • Researches the contact information, biographical information, and political giving history of potential new donors
  • Completes one-off research tasks as assigned
  • Performs prospect mining in FEC and other research tools to find and evaluate new prospects
  • Researches and updates donor contact information and political giving history in Salesforce records
  • Researches mail returned to sender and updates Salesforce with correct information
  • Assumes other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Experience with databases and at least one DMS (Salesforce preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and research tools (FEC database, FollowTheMoney, FreePeopleSearch, TruePeopleSearch, Spokeo.com, Melissa search, Hunter.io, Smarty.com, etc)
  • Excellent written communication and report writing abilities
  • The candidate must be highly loyal and trustworthy with a history of working in an environment where sensitive information is protected
