[Hiring] Technical Program Manager @X-Bow Systems

Role Description

This position carries responsibilities in the X-Bow Advanced Development Organization, reporting to the VP of Advanced Development. The primary responsibilities will focus on managing/leading numerous technical internal research and development (IRAD) efforts. The breadth of projects managed within the Advanced Development organization includes:

• Propellant development
• Inert aerospace materials development
• Electronics
• Analytical tools
• Prototype/demonstration SRM/AUR development and test
• Supply chain and processing innovations
• Lab and prototype testing

As a Technical Program Manager, you will:

• Develop comprehensive program plans that outline objectives, risks, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
• Oversee the execution of program plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to the team that is being led.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, test, safety, quality assurance, and supply chain across different projects within the program.
• Manage resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation to meet program objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all program stakeholders, including team members, executives, and government representatives and external partners.
• Communicate program progress, challenges, risks, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders, maintaining transparency and collaboration.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks that may impact program objectives particularly those related to requirements, technical and manufacturing challenges.
• Resolve complex issues and conflicts within the program, applying effective problem-solving skills.
• Ensure program activities comply with organizational standards, industry regulations, and government requirements.
• Ensure program activities are conducted in a safe manner, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
• Implement best practices and lessons learned into future program phases and company-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in program management, project management, project engineering, chief/deputy-chief engineering, or engineering lead role in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Technical expertise in solid rocket motor and missile system design, development, and advanced manufacturing highly desired.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Aerospace, Mechanical) or a related field.
• Experience in rapid development of prototype/demonstrations solutions to problems with relatively open-ended requirements.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, capable of working with a broad range of disciplines.
• Security clearance preferred but not required.
