Role Description

As a Senior Director, Project Delivery at ICON, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring that they meet organizational goals and client expectations.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the Project Management Group.
  • Collaborate with peers and leaders to define, develop, and implement improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing project delivery strategies and methodologies.
• Leading and managing project teams for effective execution.
• Overseeing project performance, tracking progress, managing risks, and addressing issues.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
• Ensuring adherence to project management best practices.
• Staying updated on industry trends and emerging practices.
• Providing strategic leadership and guidance to support project execution.

Qualifications

• Extensive cross-functional project management experience.
• Typically, 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams through process and system development.
• Experienced mentor.
• Project Management experience in a CRO environment.
• Project Management experience within a sponsor environment (preferred).
• Undergraduate degree in health sciences or international equivalent.
• Advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D., M.D.) preferred.
• Business-related coursework preferred.
• English fluency required.
• Travel of up to 25% required.

Requirements

• Significant quality assurance and compliance experience.
• Track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in project delivery, managing complex projects.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in strategic planning.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with cardio-metabolic, Mash, or Hepatology indications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
