Role Description

We have an immediate opening at the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) for a Project Manager/Scrum Master. Our team is responsible for:

• BI/Analytics
• Data lake platform
• Master data management (MDM)
• Data integration
• Data conversion
• Data quality
• Data architecture
• Data modeling
• Data literacy
• Data governance

This position will work on a small, collaborative team that uses agile practices to deliver value to our business partners. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and identify innovative solutions. Strong technical knowledge in data management and experience in managing multiple scrum boards for both project work and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a scrum-master role leading scrums for ETL, data conversion, and/or MDM.
• Experience leading and managing multiple agile teams using Scrum/agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
• Experience in team development and holding teams accountable for their commitments.
• Experience directing and monitoring work efforts daily.
• Sufficient technical experience with data management and analytics.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work productively with cross-functional working groups.
• Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
• Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in agile project management tools such as Jira or equivalent.
• Preferred experience implementing SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).

Requirements

• Experience leading scrums for business intelligence and data warehousing.
• Managing team progress/status through JIRA.
• Ability to influence others and interact with individuals at all levels.
• Ability to blend agile and traditional project management practices.
