Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Benefit Eligible Yes Screening Date 2025-04-14 Job Description Summary The Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) seeks a dynamic, self-motivated Program Manager to oversee the management of our non-credit lifelong learning program for retirees. This position will coordinate all aspects of the ILR program to meet the needs and interests of the retiree community. Job Description Manage and coordinate all programming related to the ILR program including but not limited to: Program Development and Management Oversight of ILR Board and Advisory Committees Marketing and Communications Customer Service and Registration Budget and Funding Donor and Sponsor Development and Engagement Data Handling and Management Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, launch, and manage successful program initiatives in collaboration with university faculty, staff, community members, and external organizations. Collaborate with Miami staff, ILR board, all program advisory committees, membership, and community partners to ensure program success. Conduct instructor recruitment, training, and provide in-class assistance as needed. Develop, coordinate, and manage course/event/program logistics and details. Establish and manage financial objectives; determine fees, pricing, and promotional expenses. Design, create, maintain, and disseminate all program marketing materials including course catalog, promotional flyers, newsletters, social media posts, website, etc. Ensure data integrity and integration between various services and software platforms. Maintain quality control by conducting regular assessments of enrollment trends, community needs, course quality, and instructor performance to ensure program effectiveness. Ensure adherence to brand and messaging standards in presentations and communications. Lead ILR Board and committee meetings, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives. Supervise staff, student workers, interns, and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed. Actively network within the community to build partnerships and expand the volunteer base. Travel locally within the ILR region to support classes/events as required. This position offers up to 2 days remote work option after a six month on-boarding period. Minimum Requirements: Required: Bachelor’s degree; or a combination education beyond high school and/or work experience in project or program management, operations, or a related field, totaling at least four years. Consideration will be given to applicants with: Proven record of successful program management Strong strategic planning and leadership skills Experience in supervising staff, managing budgets, and strategic planning Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills Proficiency in key software tools (or willingness to learn): Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and Photoshop or Illustrator), Cascade Content Management System, Cvent Event Management, and Emma Email Marketing Proficiency with Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms), and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Additional Position Information (if applicable) Required Application Documents Please upload your resume and cover letter.
