Role Description

This role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting network cabling facilities and equipment to ensure optimum network usage and quality.

Install structured cabling and equipment for voice, data, wireless, security, and video for inside plant service.
Troubleshoot and install hardware devices associated with voice, video, and wireless services.
Manage installation of new conduit systems in new construction and renovations and ensure standards.
Maintain cabling test records, plant labeling, and documentation.
Maintain inventory of tools and materials.
Review cabling work performed by outside contractors to ensure that guidelines and timelines are met.
Perform telephony adds/moves/changes.
Meet with departments to assist in planning move, add, and change work as required.
Install, inspect, and maintain firestopping in inside plant conveyance.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires High School diploma/GED and at least three years of training beyond high school (gained concurrently or at any time) or three years of related experience.

Requirements

Knowledge of installing, maintaining, and inspecting data, voice, security, and video cabling.
