[Hiring] VP of Product Management, Monetization @Yelp, Inc

Role Description

At Yelp, our mission is to connect people with great local businesses. We’re seeking a VP of Product Management, Monetization to lead product strategy, vision and execution for overall Yelp monetization. Reporting directly to our Chief Product Officer, you'll oversee how Yelp monetizes, ensuring ad products and platform systems work together across all consumer-facing experiences to deliver value to both sides of the marketplace.

In this senior product leadership role, you’ll:

• Unify the larger organization across Product, Engineering, Operations, and GTM teams under a single vision.
• Set the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for monetization products and platform.
• Lead and develop PMs; build strong partnerships with engineering, design, data science, and revenue teams.
• Prioritize product investments across competing roadmaps with clear business cases.
• Drive improvements to sponsored results, ad delivery and reporting, creative optimization, and ad load/placement strategy.
• Raise performance and engagement on business pages; enhance how ads and organic results work together on the SERP.
• Build trusted partnerships with Search Quality, Yelp Assistant, and Ads/ML teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to navigate executive stakeholders with strong, sometimes competing opinions.
• Thoughtful, strategic product leader with planning 12-24 months out.
• Proven track record of building and launching innovative ad products or monetization features at scale.
• Deep, hands-on experience with advertising products.
• Experience with revenue-generating products backed by clear business metrics.
• Proven ability to lead large cross-functional initiatives across engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market.
• Familiarity with consumer marketplaces or local discovery.

Requirements

• Strong instincts about where to draw the line between short-term revenue optimization and long-term user trust.
• Active collaboration with finance and revenue partners.
• Effective communication at the executive level.
