Role Description
As a Sr. Product Manager – Business Checking & Savings at BECU, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products by driving strategic vision and execution across complex business functions. You’ll take ownership of product roadmaps and lead efforts that directly impact our members’ experience.
- Define and Lead Product Vision: Create and own the strategic direction for BECU’s Business Checking & Savings products.
- Drive Strategic Decisions: Guide decision-making processes for products by aligning them with organizational goals and business strategy.
- Define and Champion BECU’s Value Proposition: Identify opportunities where BECU has a competitive advantage.
- Lead a Member-First Culture: Drive initiatives to acquire new members and elevate the overall member experience.
- Own and Evolve the Product Roadmap: Enhance products based on customer feedback and market research.
- Enhance Deposit Account Opening Experiences: Drive innovation to improve the onboarding process.
- Develop Business Cases: Capture estimated costs and potential revenue impacts.
- Partner with Marketing: Collaborate on strategies to attract new members.
- Manage Exception Pricing Processes: Implement pricing strategies that support balance acquisition and retention.
- Innovate for Growth and Retention: Explore new ways to bundle and enhance services.
- Manage End-to-End Product Flow: Oversee the entire lifecycle of the product.
- Prioritize and Set Release Goals: Manage and prioritize product releases.
- Track and Analyze Product Performance: Define and track performance metrics.
- Communicate Across the Organization: Present ideas and data-driven insights to all levels of the organization.
- Incorporate Insights and Refine Roadmaps: Capture feedback and lessons learned.
- Own Product Lifecycle: Take full ownership of your product throughout its lifecycle.
- Build Vendor Relationships: Manage and nurture relationships with external vendors.
- Collaborate Across Ecosystems: Work closely with internal teams and external partners.
- Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Monitor the latest trends and apply industry knowledge.
- Understand Member Needs: Infuse member insights into your product development process.
- Manage Product Financials: Oversee product budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Share Information Across Teams: Foster a culture of transparency.
- Provide Leadership and Mentorship: Offer guidance and support to team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline required.
- Minimum 7 years of product management, product development, product operations or equivalent experience within the Financial Service industry.
- Experience working with Deposit Products.
Requirements
- Advanced degree.
- P&L management/finance experience.
- Previous experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
- Self-directed and able to proactively identify business and customer needs.
- Experience in managing highly effective cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience determining product marketing strategies based on voice of the member.
- Experience managing and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
