[Hiring] Senior Technical Product Owner @CSI

Role Description

The Senior Technical Product Owner owns the product backlog, release cadence and stakeholder intake for the Retail Performance Engine (RPE) platform. You work in partnership with the Product Manager and a technical delivery team. You turn business needs, support issues and client requests into clear, prioritized work, and you keep the team and stakeholders aligned from idea through release.

Responsibilities

• Backlog and sprint ownership: Own and prioritize the backlog in Azure DevOps, break epics into user stories, plan sprints with the team, and accept completed work.
• Requirements discovery: Lead kickoff and discovery sessions with stakeholders, identify dependencies, and write up summaries and next steps.
• Intake and triage: Serve as the primary contact for support and internal teams, convert issues into spikes, stories or bugs, and prioritize them.
• Release coordination: Plan releases, communicate release dates, prepare or review release notes, and keep stakeholders informed.
• Stakeholder communication: Provide regular status updates on progress and risks, and escalate blockers early.
• Roadmap and vision: Work with the Product Manager and stakeholders to shape product goals and a prioritized roadmap.
• Customer engagement: Join customer meetings to understand needs and ensure value delivery.
• Cross-team collaboration: Coordinate work that spans multiple teams or products.
• Continuous improvement: Help maintain Azure DevOps practices and improve the SDLC process.
• Team leadership: Mentor less experienced Product Owners and support technology modernization efforts.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of relevant experience, including four years in SDLC/Agile development.
• Experience managing backlogs or roadmaps (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Experience working with large development teams and with APIs, web services and data integrations.
• A track record of gathering requirements from ambiguous input and getting stakeholders to decisions.
• Comfort working with a distributed team.
• Experience in financial services, loyalty/rewards or similar data-driven products is a plus.
• A college or university degree, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred certifications: SAFe; Product Owner/Manager (Pragmatic, CPO, CSPO, PSPO); cloud (Microsoft Azure preferred).
