Role Description

The Sr. Product Manager – Controls Service Agreements will be the leader of our controls service agreement products, projects, and initiatives to support Service Agreement growth and standardization for Trane Commercial HVAC in the Americas. The role will be fully responsible and accountable for meeting or exceeding Trane’s revenue growth targets, maintaining our growing market share and expanding margin.

Seeking a high-energy, results driven professional who understands Trane’s Service business and is capable of articulating a strategic vision and executing that vision to deliver business results. This person should have excellent communication and executive presence and be seeking a highly visible opportunity to grow and develop toward a senior product leader position, a portfolio leader position, or other general management roles.

What you will do:

• Manage tradeoffs between short- and long-term product performance as measured in revenue, margin, and market share.
• Actively manage the day-to-day needs of controls services offerings, focusing on identifying and delivering profitable growth opportunities.
• Support regular industry, market, and competitor analyses, including detailed segmentations of end consumers and customers.
• Develop and execute the product plan for connected controls / BAS services.
• Initiate and support business cases for New Product Development (NPD) activities.
• Collaborate with other service, controls, digital, and equipment product managers.
• Collaborate with market research teams to understand customer needs.
• Review and approve or reject adjustments to offer structure, pricing, policies, or service features.
• Lead and influence stakeholders across the organization.
• Demonstrate servant leadership by initiating, leading, and solving problems effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required. MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 5 years of combined experience in sales, marketing, P&L leadership, and/or product management roles required.
• HVAC and BAS/controls experience, knowledge of building systems operation, and extensive knowledge of field, service, and product required.
• Understanding of how Day 1 and Day 2 controls projects and service offerings work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence required.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills required.
• Deep understanding of service business needs, cycles, and tradeoffs required.
• Proven ability to work effectively in remote and virtual settings required.
• Ability to travel independently up to 20% of the time required.
• Knowledge of LEAN practices and ceremonies preferred.

• Annual Base Salary Range: $122,700.00 - $220,955.00
