[Hiring] Senior Director, Product Management @Exostar

Role Description

The Senior Director, Product Management, will lead the full Exostar Supply Chain portfolio. This includes SupplyLine, DemandLine, Supplier Management, and the Marketplace initiative. These products give aerospace, defense, and other regulated manufacturing customers secure, multi-tier visibility and collaboration across their supply chains. The role owns the migration of a large, established customer base off to new products, and the scoping and delivery of new platform capability to support product-led growth focused on new customer acquisition. This is a senior leadership role. It carries direct accountability for a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, for the quality of our delivery planning, and for the outcomes of a complex, highly visible program.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Strategy and Vision: Own the product strategy and multi-year roadmap for SupplyLine, DemandLine, Supplier Management, and Marketplace.
• Legacy Platform Migration: Lead the Supply Chain customer migration, plan and sequence the work, manage risk for existing customers.
• Enterprise Program Leadership: Direct the scoping and delivery of new product capability for major enterprise accounts.
• Marketplace: Own the strategy for our Marketplace initiative delivering value for Suppliers within our A&D network.
• Evidence-Based Planning: Build delivery plans that work backward from business and customer commitments.
• Customer Validation Discipline: Validate work with customers throughout development through demos and early access environments.
• Operating Discipline and Stakeholder Visibility: Set a consistent operating cadence for the team and drive adoption of a single intake channel for product requests.
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow the Product Managers and Product Owners on the team.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering leadership on technical architecture decisions.
• Regulatory and Compliance Context: Understand the regulatory context our aerospace and defense customers operate under.
• Go-to-Market Collaboration: Partner with Sales and Marketing on new product introductions and strategic sales pursuits.
• Resource Allocation: Allocate product and engineering capacity across migration work, product enhancement, and new product development.
• Performance Management: Report portfolio-level metrics to the CPO and executive leadership.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Own the product lifecycle for the portfolio from end to end.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for senior executives, key customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of leading complex B2B SaaS product launches or platform migrations.
• 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring product management teams.
• Experience in supply chain management or supply chain visibility and collaboration software is strongly preferred.
• Experience serving aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing customers.
• A track record of building and defending delivery plans that work backward from customer commitments.
• Solid working knowledge of Agile and modern product management practices.
• Strong communication and strategic thinking skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Requirements

• Experience leading a legacy-to-modern platform migration for an active customer base.
• Experience bringing consistent process to product operations across multiple product lines.
• Comfortable making and defending architecture and scope trade-offs under time and resource pressure.
• High integrity and honesty, including a willingness to surface bad news early.
