[Hiring] Product Owner/Project Manager @Nexiva

Role Description

The Product Owner/Project Manager will lead the upgrade of the Unique ID (UID) application from Version 11 to Version 2026. This role will coordinate business stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, and the third-party vendor to ensure successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the project scope, schedule, priorities, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and the software vendor.
• Provide regular project-status updates to leadership.
• Review the current UID application and document business and technical requirements.
• Identify opportunities to modernize the application and improve existing processes.
• Develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and product documentation.
• Prioritize requirements and ensure the proposed solution meets business objectives.
• Coordinate system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Track defects and work with technical teams and the vendor through resolution.
• Manage implementation readiness, production deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Document current-state and future-state workflows, system functionality, and operating procedures.
• Develop training materials and support user onboarding and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• 8 years of Product Ownership (PO): Experience serving as a PO overseeing requirements, prioritization, and solution delivery.
• 8 years of Project Management: Management of complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, & deliverables.

Requirements

• Texas Student Data System (TSDS): LEA/vendor-level experience working with the TSDS and its data collections.
