YDay - SEO Services Online Philadelphia is hiring a remote Clinical Product Owner. πŸ’Έ Salary: $130k + benefits πŸ“Location: Worldwide

Role Description

Healthcare Client is seeking a Clinical Technology Product Owner to drive delivery for interoperability capabilities that enable bidirectional clinical data exchange between payers and providers. This role supports a product within the Interoperability program, leveraging FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards to enable seamless, standards-based data exchange across systems. Operating within a modern product model, this role is responsible for translating product strategy into execution, leading delivery of both:

  • Core interoperability capabilities (APIs, data services, platform features)
  • Provider-facing workflows that enable adoption and real-world use of these capabilities

This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of platform engineering, healthcare workflows, and provider system integration (e.g., EHRs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the team backlog, translating Product Manager priorities into well-defined user stories, clear acceptance criteria, and scalable, testable requirements
  • Manage and align cross-team and system dependencies to ensure coordinated delivery, minimize risks, and support smooth release and adoption
  • Track delivery, adoption, and system performance metrics to continuously refine priorities, improve quality, and drive increased adoption
  • Serve as the primary liaison for delivery and integration, clearly communicating progress, requirements, and value to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive strong agile execution practices while fostering accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team
  • Drive delivery of core interoperability capabilities, including APIs, integration services, FHIR-aligned data exchange models, and supporting platform features
  • Partner closely with engineering to support design decisions and technical execution
  • Understand provider system and EHR integration patterns, including API consumption, version compatibility, and data exchange constraints, and define the internal work needed to address integration gaps and enable adoption
  • Partner with Product Managers to ensure backlog aligns to interoperability strategy, supports product OKRs, and reflects delivery feasibility, sequencing, and key trade-offs

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role in agile environments
  • Experience delivering API-based, integration-driven, or data platform products
  • Strong ability to translate business and technical needs into structured, testable requirements
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams on end-to-end feature delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare payer or provider domains
  • Familiarity with provider systems, EHRs, or clinical workflows
  • Experience supporting external integrations and partner onboarding
  • Understanding of API design, versioning, and system integration challenges
  • Experience or familiarity with FHIR-based data exchange and healthcare interoperability standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Curiosity: collaborates with business partners to understand their strategy, problems, and goals; works with senior leaders to identify opportunities to implement solutions
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills; capacity to quickly build and maintain credible relationships at varying levels of the organization simultaneously

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
