[Hiring] Product Manager @AJAIA

Role Description

Ajaia is hiring a remote Product Manager to own products in Ajaia's product suite end to end. You will:

• Talk to users and customers every week, not a quarterly survey.
• Turn messy, sometimes contradictory signal, usage data, support tickets, sales requests, and interview feedback into a ranked call on what gets built next.
• Say plainly what does not get built, including well-funded customer requests when the evidence does not support it.
• Write specs an engineer can build from without a follow-up meeting, detailing the outcome, scope, human involvement, and acceptance criteria.
• Prototype the core flow yourself, using wireframes, clickable mocks, or working demos when that settles arguments faster than a deck.
• Contribute to the code and design directly, shipping small features or fixes using AI tools.
• Partner with the design team to determine the solution and its usability.
• Collaborate with the delivery team and engineers on build execution and shipping dates.
• Present the roadmap and tradeoffs to stakeholders, including addressing client or salesperson dissatisfaction.
• Hold priority decisions under real pushback or change them with clear reasoning.
• Ship products, monitor performance post-launch, and act on the data.

Qualifications

• Highly organized across multiple priorities and open questions.
• Sharp judgment on what to build next, and clear about what not to build.
• Strong plain written and spoken English for specs and customer calls.
• AI fluent: daily use of AI for sorting signal, drafting specs, and prototyping.
• Comfortable contributing to code and design directly with AI tools.
• Comfortable holding priority calls under pushback or changing them for stated reasons.
• 1 or more years in product management or equivalent experience.
• Available for at least 7 to 8 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern time (9am to 6pm ET).
• Reliable internet, a quiet place for customer calls, and your own laptop.
• Legally able to work as an independent contractor or through an employer of record in your country.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Prior experience working remotely with a US or UK team is a plus.
• Experience with a B2B product used by an operational or compliance function is desirable.
• Comfort reading usage data or support queues independently.
• Exposure to a regulated industry such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, or legal is beneficial.
• Prior experience in a 0-to-1 or early-stage product role is advantageous.
