[Hiring] Principal Product Manager @Brightline

Role Description

Brightline is redefining what pediatric behavioral health care looks like for families across the country, we are seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for Brightline's Public Sector business. This is one of the most senior individual contributor Product Management roles at Brightline and a high-impact, cross-functional position within our Product Development organization.

Your initial focus will be BrightLife Kids, Brightline's partnership with California's Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), where you'll own product strategy for new programs and initiatives that strengthen and grow the partnership. From there, you'll expand into owning additional public sector partnerships as this business grows.

We're looking for someone who thrives navigating complex, technical and non-technical stakeholder ecosystems as much as they do defining a product roadmap. The ideal candidate is a strategic generalist: comfortable operating zero-to-one in an ambiguous, still-forming market, deeply integrated with go-to-market and product marketing work, and able to independently lead complex initiatives from discovery through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy and execution for BrightLife Kids, Brightline's partnership with California's DHCS.
• Develop, prioritize, and communicate a public sector product strategy and roadmap.
• Partner closely with Clinical, Growth, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams.
• Deliver on specific state and agency commitments critical to the partnership's success.
• Build foundational product and platform capabilities for new state and grant-funded programs.
• Operate comfortably in a client-facing capacity, supporting sales and partnership discussions.
• Define, measure, and improve key metrics for the initiatives owned.
• Independently lead large, ambiguous, multi-stakeholder initiatives from discovery through delivery.
• Mentor other Product Managers and help elevate the product discipline.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Product Management experience, including significant experience building healthcare technology products.
• Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments involving institutional, governmental, or public-sector-adjacent buyers.
• Demonstrated ability to operate zero-to-one: driving discovery and building a strategic roadmap.
• Direct experience partnering with go-to-market, marketing, or sales teams.
• Comfortable operating in a product marketing and client-facing capacity.
• Strong analytical capability, including experience using SQL and product analytics tools.
• Proven ability to independently lead large, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in behavioral health or hybrid digital/physical healthcare.
• Experience with government, education-sector, or grant-funded program contracts.

• Compensation for this role varies based on geographic location and market data, with an annual base salary range of $180,000 to $200,000.
