[Hiring] Principal Product Manager, Security @1Password

Role Description

We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to shape security strategy across the company, working with Security Engineering and product teams.

• Understand cryptographic and architectural details to earn the trust of security engineers.
• Translate security priorities into clear priorities for feature teams.
• Respect customer usability while ensuring rigorous security controls.
• Coach and challenge assumptions to improve the team.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Security Research, and Go To Market (GTM) teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience, particularly in security-critical products or platforms in a SaaS environment.
• Deep knowledge of security fundamentals: cryptography, authentication protocols, IAM, zero-knowledge and end-to-end encrypted system design, and threat modeling.
• Fluency in the credential and identity landscape, including passkeys, WebAuthn, and FIDO.
• Track record of earning credibility with security engineering teams.
• Experience making and defending risk-based tradeoffs.
• History of shipping security features that users adopt.
• Strong communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
• Strong plus: Standing in the security community through talks, publications, or open-source work.
• Strong plus: Hands-on experience with AI security and compliance regimes.
• Strong plus: Experience in vulnerability disclosure or incident response.
