Role Description

As leader of the card solutions product line, clearly communicate and drive product strategy, direction, and vision; maintains the roadmap and strategy for the product in sync with that for the product-line and the overall ACI strategy. As the product champion, continually drive product adoption among the customer base and target market, understand pain points and problems and address them in a timely fashion, with a constant eye on maximizing the ROI for the product.

• Partner with marketing, product marketing, and channels to develop the GTM strategy.
• Stay engaged with the sales team and articulate the value proposition of the product among customers and prospects alike.
• Maintain an intimate understanding of the payments industry and the competition to quickly identify opportunities and threats.
• Work cohesively with the application development team, AOD, finance, sales, sales operations, legal, and business analysts.
• Represent the market and clearly convey requirements to ensure timely and budget-compliant product delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8-12 years related experience in an industry-related role such as technical support, product management, or product development.
• Deep and broad understanding and experience in all aspects of product management.

Requirements

• Elicit and validate stakeholder requirements.
• Conduct research and data gathering to analyze and determine appropriate solutions.
• Manage entire Requirements process including documentation preparation and presentation.
• Function as the primary product and target market SME (subject matter expert).
• Understand competitive landscape from strategy to functional capabilities.
• Define the market and market segments.
• Identify customer and prospect problems and market opportunities.
• Build, update, and communicate the product line vision, strategy, and 5-year roadmap.
• Drive the positioning and interaction of the product within the product portfolio.
• Define and execute a distribution strategy for the product.
• Sponsor innovation that helps achieve the strategic plan.
• Clearly articulate the value proposition and positioning of the product.
• Provide input to solution/product marketing for the go-to-market plan.
• Ensure all sales enablement tools are delivered on schedule.
• Drive market acceptance by evangelizing the product to all stakeholders.
• Monitor launch effectiveness.
• Actively manage pricing and packaging as a profit and market penetration lever.
• Monitor key performance indicators of the operations.
• Implement corrective action where applicable.
• Manage the product across the entire lifecycle.
• Establish 5-year and 1-year financial goals of the product.
• Leverage the 4 P&L model to establish goals for Maintenance, Products, AOD, and Services performance.
• Determine appropriate and optimal level of investment to maximize margin performance.
• Establish operating budget for expense from the capacity planning process.
• Use the stage gate process to secure funding on projects.
• Monitor and track financial performance of the product.
• Improve processes and tools that result in positive impacts across the organization.
• Responsible for over 50% revenue for the product line.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Understand and adhere to all corporate policies including the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
