Role Description

As a Principal Product Designer & PM, you will:

• Decide what we build, design it yourself, and own the design system behind it.
• Report to the Head of Product and own how we find and keep members across 16 states.
• Determine designs to help members make complex decisions and manage product development.
• Own the design infrastructure behind product development, design, deployment, and iteration.
• Make critical decisions regarding product flow and design customization based on state-specific nuances.
• Collaborate with engineering, growth, risk, and insurance teams without direct management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a product designer with experience in data analysis and engineering collaboration.
• A portfolio demonstrating your ability to go from 0-1, shipping flows you designed and owned metrics for.
• Data-driven with hands-on A/B testing, funnel analysis, and experimentation skills.
• Proficient in Figma, wireframing, prototyping, and information architecture.
• Strong project management skills, working closely with senior engineers.
• Experience building or maintaining a design system.
• Relentless customer advocate, performing user research to address unique needs.
• Excited to apply the latest AI tools for efficiency.
• Seek simple, elegant solutions to complex problems.
• Value over-communication, rapid collaboration, and candid feedback.

Requirements

• Experience in fintech or a highly regulated industry is a plus.
• Experience running hands-on or field user research is a plus.
