[Hiring] Manager, Forward Deployed Services @DOSS

Role Description

Doss's Forward Deployed Services (FDS) team is the core engine of DOSS and the success of our customers. The Portfolio Manager sits at the intersection of product, data, operations, implementation, and customer partnership — leading a team of Forward Deployed Product Manager (FDPM) ICs while staying deeply hands-on yourself.

You'll own a portfolio of Doss's most complex, high-value client relationships and lead your team through the full post-sales lifecycle:

• Discovery: partnering with cross-functional client leadership to analyze operational and financial workflows (flow of goods, information, and money)
• Product Design: data model, workflows, and integrations
• Build/Configure: on the DOSS platform
• UAT and Go-live

You'll manage a team of Forward Deployed Product Managers, setting the standard for quality and pace while staying in the weeds alongside your team. This is a player-coach role - you're not just directing, you're doing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in engineering, consulting, finance, operations, product operations, or technical program management, including time as a people manager with direct reports

Requirements

• You’ve managed a team through an ERP implementation (scoping, configuration, data migration, go-live). Strongly preferred, though we’ll also consider people who’ve led implementations of other complex B2B software or run professional services delivery teams.
• You can traverse interconnected systems across people, process, and technology, and teach others to do the same.
• You lead by doing; you roll up your sleeves, model the work, and hold the bar.
• You’ve thrived in high-pressure environments (startups, consulting, finance).
• You can understand hard engineering and logic problems intuitively and break them down for your team.
• You can cut through noise, synthesize fast, and make good calls under ambiguity.
