[Hiring] Director, Product Management @NMI

Role Description

As Director of Product Management, Value Added Solutions, you own the strategy, roadmap, and P&L for NMI's Value Added Solutions business line. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will:

• Set direction and lead a small but impactful team of Product Managers and Designers.
• Join customer calls and negotiate with partners.
• Work with engineers to create and deliver a meaningful roadmap.
• Collaborate and advocate with multiple cross-functional teams across NMI.
• Make hard product calls when needed.

This is a remote role based in the US.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management with at least 5 years in payments or financial services.
• At least 3 years managing a team of geographically distributed PMs.
• Hands-on experience owning a portfolio of products.
• Experience building prioritization frameworks and ROI-based business cases.
• Demonstrated track record of building and growing revenue-generating products.
• Experience owning commercial relationships with third-party vendors.
• Player/coach mentality.
• Strong commercial instincts.
• Deep experience working directly with customers.
• Exceptional execution skills with a bias towards action.
• Fluent with AI tools for product work.
• Exceptional communicator.

Requirements

• Own the product vision, multi-year roadmap, strategy, and P&L for NMI's Value Added Solutions (VAS) product line.
• Drive business development and growth of the channel.
• Rank VAS opportunities by upside, effort, and speed to market.
• Build the ROI and revenue projections behind every build, buy, or partner decision.
• Work with Sales and Marketing to drive adoption, growth, and customer satisfaction.
• Build tight feedback loops with Sales, Account Management, and Support.
• Facilitate partner advisory board sessions for additional insights.
• Lead your existing and new products across functions.
• Partner with Engineering leadership on architecture and operational readiness.
• Own a repeatable launch playbook.
• Serve as the key business owner of third-party contracts.
• Develop a deep understanding of partner and merchant use cases.
• Stay abreast of market trends and customer interests.
• Become a thought leadership advocate for NMI.
• Participate in planning cadences with Product and Engineering.
• Build, manage, and develop a team of Product Managers and Designers.
• Contribute to NMI's product culture.
• Use AI tools actively in your workflow.
