[Hiring] Director of Product Management @DRiV

Role Description

We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and results-oriented Director of Product Management to lead the Shocks and Struts Product Category. This person will be responsible for developing and executing the category’s strategy while leading a team of product managers. This role requires exceptional leadership and a strong ability to translate data-driven insights into clear strategic action that accelerates commercial performance. You will partner closely with technical, sales, and operational teams to define winning product portfolios, strengthen market positioning, and support the commercial organization in delivering world-class solutions for the light-vehicle product management team.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and lead execution of the product category strategy, go-to-market strategy and commercialization plan in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Operations and other internal stakeholders.
• Own product category’s P&L, driving profitability, margin improvement, and growth opportunities through product category reviews and sales pipeline execution.
• Build and lead the multi-year product roadmap by identifying gaps, customer needs, and competitive opportunities through market research, internal analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
• Lead the full product lifecycle, including profitability analysis, demand planning, and the new product development process.
• Hire, train and manage a team of product managers and product analysts.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing and supply chain teams to execute product roadmaps, identify customer opportunities, and deliver solutions that meet market demand.
• Communicate product vision and financial results to executive leadership while influencing stakeholders and driving alignment on trade-offs and priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in a global matrix organization in product management, marketing, strategy, sales, project management, engineering, or another related field responsible for driving revenue growth.
• 7+ years of direct team leadership experience and customer-facing experience in the automotive aftermarket or a comparable industry.
• Demonstrated results in leading a P&L and presenting strategic plans to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Demonstrated ability to define, own, and execute strategy, aligned with business goals, customer needs, and commercial priorities.
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to perform complex analyses to guide strategic recommendations.
• Strong understanding of P&L, cost structures, financial modeling, and margin improvement strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-influencing skills, including experience engaging executive leadership.
• Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and SAP systems.
• Strong project management, critical thinking, and strategic prioritization.
• Ability to excel in ambiguous environments and solve complex challenges with professionalism, agility, and data-driven judgment.
• Thrives in a go-fast environment and practices radical candor, communicating openly and directly to accelerate decision-making and team alignment.
