Role Description

The client is seeking a senior technology and product leader to own and shape the entire engineering and product function, driving innovation and operational excellence within a mission-driven B2B2C health and education technology organization.

• Own and lead both the Technology and Product organizations, setting vision, strategy, and execution across all functions.
• Define the future structure of the engineering and product organization, determining team composition, roles, and operating model from the ground up.
• Drive product strategy for a consumer-facing platform serving both end users and professional users, continuously improving experience for both audiences.
• Lead the organization's AI strategy, identifying where artificial intelligence can improve product experience, increase operational efficiency, and enable care delivery at scale.
• Own data infrastructure and systems integration, ensuring seamless data flow across all business functions including billing, insurance, and performance reporting.
• Build and scale the team, recruiting the right mix of engineering and product talent aligned to the organization's growth stage.
• Partner directly with executive leadership, operating as the primary driver of technology and product direction with a high degree of autonomy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a senior technology leader (VP of Engineering, CTO, or equivalent) with ownership of both engineering and product functions.
• Proven track record building, scaling, and transforming technology and product teams, with tangible examples of products built, launched, and delivered.
• Strong experience building consumer-facing products within a B2B2C or similarly complex environment.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, early-stage, or resource-constrained environments with no established playbook, able to define process rather than inherit it.
• Experience designing or evolving data infrastructure and cross-system integrations that support business operations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute an AI strategy, not limited to individual tools, but at the organizational and product level.

Requirements

• Background in EdTech, HealthTech, or a domain where educators or healthcare professionals are primary product users.
• Familiarity with data privacy considerations specific to health systems or school/district environments (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA, or equivalent).
• Experience working alongside or within an organization that operates a proprietary or homegrown EHR or similar regulated platform.
• Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment where the technology organization was being built or rebuilt during tenure.
